WATER BAPTISM
AN IMPORTANT STEP
Water Baptism is a public testimony that you have believed that Jesus died bearing the sins of all humanity, that you have decisively asked Him to forgive you of your sins, and have surrendered the leadership of your life to Him as your Lord.
Matthew 28:18-20 & Romans 6:1-6.
YOUR STORY: TELL HOW YOU HAPPENED TO RECEIVE JESUS
What were the circumstances of your life at the time you came to Jesus as Savior? When did you make your decision to receive Jesus? Where were you (at church, at home, etc)? Was there someone who influenced you to receive Christ (if so, how)? How has knowing Jesus changed your life (an attitude, new hope, peace, direction, purpose, etc)?
You will have opportunity to read what you have shared as a testimony just before being baptized, or the pastor will be happy to read it on your behalf.
Important Note:
- please keep your story to a 1 minute summation since several may be sharing
- send/return this form and your story to me by the Wednesday prior to the Sunday baptism service
- please let me know if you would like to read your story or would like the pastor to
INSTRUCTIONS
- Invite family and friends to come
- For the baptism, wear opaque or dark colored clothes. No swimming suits, but modest shorts and shirt.
- Bring a towel.
- Bring a change of clothes
- Be sure to remove contacts, glasses and watches.
- Bring a plastic bag for your wet clothes
